Glass Packaging & Crating
Radiance Glass packages and crates our finished decorative and architectural glass products according to our strict care guidelines established during our 20+ years of shipping glass worldwide.
Finished glass projects are hand polished, meticulously cleaned, thoroughly inspected and then photographed for record keeping. Then our shipment team carefully wraps and seals each piece of glass in a proprietary multi-layer protective paper sleeve. This unique process provides a barrier against both scratching and moisture. Finally, the glass is crated with shock and displacement resistant packing materials matched to the particular size and type of glass used in the project. Each project utilizes custom-built crating to further protect against the wide variety of potentially damaging conditions that occur during shipment.
Glass Delivery and Damage Prevention
Crated projects are assembled with exterior labelling that provides both warning to the shipper and handlers, and evidence of any mishandling that may have occurred during shipment. The ShockWatch impact indicator label deters mishandling and reduces damage related costs by indicating when fragile products have been exposed to a potentially damaging impact during transit or in storage. ShockWatch labels are tamperproof, mechanically activated devices that turn bright red when an impact occurs. TiltWatch and TiltWatch Plus labels identify whether the shipment has been tilted, the degree of tilt, or if a complete overturn of the crate has occurred.
Our chosen shippers demonstrate consistent on-time delivery, immediate shipment tracking, and courteous customer service. Options include white-glove and dedicated services, expedited shipping, and insurance for most any project.
